Volunteer Coordinator - Biosecurity Officer
Julian Nimer
Julian is our Volunteer Coordinator and Biosecurity Officer. You will see him on volunteer days helping coordinate groups and projects that need to be done around the rescue. You will also see him down at the barn disinfecting water troughs, bowls, supplies, or just running supplies for us when needed. The horses also refer to him as the "hay guy" as he is usually the one putting hay out into the fields when needed.

Youth Volunteer Lead - Care Team Assistant - Infection Control Assistant
James Nimer
James is kind of our "catch all" guy around here. He assists with any Youth Volunteers, making sure they stay safe. He will be the one at the barn twice a day with Carter prepping all food and supplements under Carters direction and checking water troughs to make sure they are always full and clean. He halters horses for Melissa, Jeanna, and Carter when they are needing to be moved, and often works directly with the rescues making sure they are all well rounded. He assists in mucking out barns, turning the compost pile, and making sure everything is disinfected properly to keep infectious diseases out of our herd.
